Tomintours: examples of the walks
The nature and wildlife of this area is wide ranging and varied dependent upon the habit visited and the time of year so the walks are tailored to the environment and examples of what might be seen are given by clicking on the links below to the packages page.
Tomintours are guided nature, wildlife and photography walks for a maximum of two guests tailored to your requirements and / or ability. Tomintours is a sole trader business run by Mark Ranner based in Tomintoul the Highest village in the Scottish Highlands.
A nature and wildlife enthusiast for over 40 years and a keen photographer for over 25 years.
My work has been critiqued on Springwatch, been in books and calendars on Owls and Hares plus have been used to promote wildlife in the area in which I now live and by various Trusts such as the Swift Trust and Hare Preservation Trust.
I give local talks on the wildlife in the area and on photgraphing it.
The walks vary from gentle woodland, lochside, coastal walks to crossing heather moorlands or mountain tracks to over 2000M above sea level.
